my approach to your story
1. LET IT GO
I always find it best when someone doesn’t realize (or try to pretend) the photo is actually being taken. Countless times I get these amazing inspiration shots of laughing, in the moments, walking, blurry shots that ONLY happen if you LET THEM.
As the story unfolds, let it go. Let go of the idea everything has to be perfect or posed. I will pose you in a way that looks organic and free.
2. ADVENTURE
Letting us be SPONTANEOUS!
I am a very adventurous person and shooting almost everyday in this town has become a little bit of a “where the heck can I go that is new for not only me, but my clients?!” I know you see some great shots you would love, but adventure is really where the fun lies. Be open to new chances in location and look
3. MOMENTS MATTER
I always let you be, but I also take the reigns. I whole heartedly KNOW THAT MOMENTS MATTER.
There is this dance between myself and when I am photographing couples where I leave you be and also make you jump and drink champagne. There is a fine line with this and I think (timing) and knowing this day isn’t JUST about the photos, let me document THOSE MOMENTS THAT REALLY MATTER.
Be You & LET ME CAPTURE THAT.
4. DO IT YOUR WAY
If you tell me you want Elvis, MOONSHINE, your dog, an old car… if you want to borrow chairs, have me pick up smoke bombs, tell me we need to hit In-N-Out… YES! All 100% YES. Do it your way, find what that means to you and each other. Do you disagree on the ceremony site? (it happens a lot!) one person might be super into the desert while one person wants the chapel. Understandable completely and we can “marry the two” and get it all sorted so we all have what we want.
Just don’t ever hesitate to tell me what that is.
Don’t sweat the small stuff, I don’t.
After ten years of photographing, I come across as a relaxed, check list kind of person who will no matter what, make your time easy and fun.
